The datasets

CLIO-INFRA consists of three different kinds of datasets:

I data on economic performance and living standards: GDP, GDP per capita, real wages (of unskilled labourers) and other indicators;
II data on ‘ultimate causes’ of economic development: institutions, culture, geography, demography, factor endowments and inequality;
III data on ‘intermediate’ causes of development: relative prices (and interest rates), financial and technological variables, human capital formation, energy consumption and production etc.
